Cornelia Parker

Cornelia Parker, RA, OBE, is one of the UK’s most acclaimed contemporary artists.  Her recent work includes two major public commissions in London; 14 metre long Wikipedia-inspired 'Magna Carta (An Embroidery)' for the British Library, which is now on tour, and 'One More Time' for St. Pancras Station, for which she created a doppelganger for the station clock.  The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester reopened in 2015 with a major solo exhibition by Cornelia Parker, who created a unique Blakean meteor shower to celebrate the gallery’s relaunch.  Following on from this exceptional year, Parker has been awarded the prestigious commission to create a site-specific installation for the Roof Garden of the Metropolitan Museum, New York, in 2016.
