These tote bags were commissioned by Imperial Health Charity to raise money for their patient engagement programme. Alongside a museum accredited collection of over 2,000 works, the charity organises a wide range of arts based workshops and runs an artist in residence programme at the five hospitals of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The illustrations by British artist David Shrigley were part of a special commission by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing, launched in 2014.
Bags of Ethics work collaboratively with cotton farming communities in India, giving them a powerful route to market for their raw materials and eco-friendly fabrics. Through their label and policy they help to support worker rights, pay and employment policies and safer factory conditions for those along the supply chain. These high-quality, sustainable canvas tote bags are produced by Bags of Ethics’ official partners. More information here.
