Stoke-on-Trent based ceramicist Reiko Kaneko has produced a series of fine bone china ceramics for the Plinth pop-up at Thurloe place, inspired by landscape, the natural environment and traditional Japanese stoneware.
After studying design at Central Saint Martins, Reiko Kaneko started out designing a range of products which she had made around the world, but it was discovering the joy of working with ceramicists in The Potteries, and tapping into over two centuries of knowledge in fine bone china production that led her to concentrate on ceramics and in 2012 move her studio to Stoke-on-Trent.
